Rural Health Care Outreach Conference Calls

Conference Call Agenda March 9, 2006

Yesterday, the connection to the monthly Rural Health Care Program conference call experienced technical difficulties. For that we apologize. In case you were unable to connect to the conference call, we have summarized the announcements and discussions below. On Monday March 13, 2006 at 8 a.m., the Rural Health Care Program will open its Funding Year 2006 application window. Applicants who have applied in the past and enabled e-certification will be able to login and e-cert their Form 465. New applicants and those wishing to submit hard copies will be able to download Excel and PDF versions of Form 465.

The forms for FY2006 are identical to those used in FY 2005. There will be a second window opening announcement sent out to all Rural Health Care participants later today.

Rural Health Care Staff stated on the call that for FY2004, there are approximately 500-600 outstanding Form 467s. Please help us finish up this year by e-certing or mailing your FY2004 Form 467.

For FY2005, Rural Health Care staff estimates that we have only received about 50% of the estimated 5000 Form 466 and Form 466-As. Rural Health Care is concentrating on completing this process and we encourage you to send in your Form 466 and/or 466-A as soon as possible. Please remember that June 30, 2006 is the last day we can accept these forms for Funding Year 2005. To check on the status of your application please refer to the Packet Status Report on our website.

Finally, Rural Health Care staff provided a wrap-up of Hurricane Katrina Relief. To date we have received 230 Form 465s. March 1 was the last day we could accept Form 466-A for this relief and Rural Health Care received approximately 430 Form 466-As.
