Low Income Tools:
Site Visit Process
The purpose of this initiative is to better educate USAC about how companies manage and use Universal Service Fund (USF) Low Income support so that USAC can better manage the USF on the federal level.
During each visit, USAC representatives will interview the person responsible for managing the USF Low Income Program support at the company. As part of the interview process, USAC hopes to walk through a list of questions prepared by USAC.
The questions are aimed at:
- Learning how USAC can improve processes and procedures
- Gaining an understanding of how companies interact with USAC
- Understanding how companies calculate their level of USF Low Income support and manage the documentation retention requirements of the USF Low Income Program
- Determining what methods companies use to advertise the availability of USF Low Income support to their customers
- Providing companies the opportunity to bring to USAC’s attention any outstanding issues
