Biography of Jason Williams
Jason Williams is an attorney in private practice with the firm of Christian, Samson, Jones and Chisholm PLLC in Missoula, Montana. Mr. Williams’ practice focuses on telecommunications, commercial transactions, and land use planning issues. He currently serves as outside general counsel for the Western Telecommunications Alliance (WTA). He also represents a number of independent, rural telephone companies. Before entering private practice, he was Special Assistant to then FCC Commissioner Kevin Martin in Washington, D.C. During law school, he interned at Blackfoot Telephone Cooperative in Missoula where he assisted the general counsel on a wide variety of issues. Before law school, he was a Manager-Regulatory Affairs for Nextlink Communications (now XO Communications) where he focused on new market development, revenue assurance, local number portability, state and federal compliance, and other issues. He also worked briefly as a Manager-Business Development for NeuStar's European Services Bureau where he oversaw collocation and other aspects of building a European SS7 Network. Mr. Williams graduated from the University of Montana School of Law with honors and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Notre Dame.
